Safety First

I got this picture of Ashley when she was in the garage "helping" Larry. She has her safety glasses on - of course she is sitting on the work bench coloring!

Few funny things she has been saying:

"Holy Lord this is tight on my belly" (sitting too close to the table)

"Whoa mom - slow down" (driving in the car - and no I wasn't going fast")

"what the heck is going on" (when we saw a police man pull someone over)

Hailey's teething!!

So the last 2 weeks have not been fun. Hailey finally got her first tooth - the right one on the bottom. We were so excited - until we realized she was getting the one next to it as well. She has been very fussy and just not her usually self. Last night Larry even had to drive her around for an hour so she would sleep. Took her to the Dr - ears are fine - everything looks great - But she is getting 4 more teeth!!! Two up top and then 2 more on the bottom! No wonder!! Poor girl.
In the middle of all of this though she has also started crawling!! Yahoo!! just a little at a time but it is a definite crawl. Of course she is still rolling around when she want to get somewhere fast. She even tried to climb up Ashley's little table.
So here is to a mouthful of teeth and someday getting to be able to sleep again!

Happy Easter!!

What a fun time dying eggs!! Ashley had no idea what she was in for. I got all the colors in little dishes on the counter and Ashley thought we were going to eat them - had to clear that up pretty quick! She didn't really get the whole coloring egg thing at first - until she did her first egg and then it was off to the races. I think it took me longer to get things set up then it did for her to dye 20 some eggs!! Ashley did a great job though. Larry of course taught her that if you dip just your fingers in the dye they change colors too - what fun! Hailey just watched and liked getting her picture taken! She is turning into a camera queen!

We have a Basement!!

When we moved into our house last year we were very excited to have a basement. It was partially finished too. The people we bought the house from were only here a few months but they had put up the walls and even wired the whole basement for surround sound. The only thing that was missing was paint and carpet. I have to admit that Larry did most of the painting downstairs. Yesterday we got the carpet installed - Larry stayed home so I could take Hailey to the doctor. She has another ear infection but this time only in one ear and she is old enough to get a stronger antibiotic.

The basement turned out great!! It adds so much space for us. We have a guest bedroom and also space for me to actually do stuff now. The cat firmly believes we did it for her - she laid in all different spots last night to "try" it our - purring the whole time. We are going to let her believe what she wants. We are just happy it's done!!

Grandma is Pretty Cool!

Larry had to work on Saturday so I took the girls to Grandma's house. The day was wonderful - it was close to 70 degrees!! The best part for Ashley though was Grandma taking her on the "bouncealine" (trampoline). She had so much fun!! Grandma was a trouper and bounced with Ashley for a good 2 hours! Of course Ashley was asleep before we even got out of the neighborhood when we left. And all I have heard since is "can we go see Grandma and get on the bouncealine?"
Unfortunately on Sunday we were under a Blizzard warning with no warm up in sight.....
